Feel free to add your own question. If you’re not sure how to add a question, follow the syntax page for more info on how to add content. You don’t need to be a user on a regional network to add content to this page. We only ask that you be respectful.
Access fees are determined by our regional network partners. Some partner networks offer free access; others typically range from $15.00 to $30.00 per month depending on their respective levels of pricing. Feel free to visit their websites directly via the regional networks partners page for more info.
Note: if you’re sharing your Internet connection, you might be eligible for free access to your regional network partner’s network. Check with your regional network partner for more details as each partner has their own set of guidelines.

The Virginia WiFi Company would be more than happy to work with you in designing, installing and maintaining a wireless Internet access amenity for your patrons, customers and tenants. The hardware we deploy is low cost and typically hundreds less than comparable equipment. This typically includes an antenna on the roof, even if the equipment mounted indoors is able to service most tenants. There is the initial investment for hardware and the ongoing cost of the Internet connectivity. Internet connections typically range from $50-$100 per month. Depending on the size of your property and number of users, you may need one or more Internet connections. Please feel free to contact us for more info.
Simple really. If you’re within range of one of our regional partners access points, you’ll see our SSID labeled “VAWiFiCo” Click to connect to that access point and you’ll see our regional network provider’s splash page as exampled below:
As a member, you’ll type in your account’s email address and password and be on your way.
Another good question. We aim to provide cost-effective Internet access to rural and urban regions throughout Virginia. Not only will a user be able to access his or her own regional network provider, he or she will be able to access any regional network provider at no additional cost other than what they pay to their local regional network provider.
So, for example, if you have an account with Staunton WiFi Net, you’ll pay a nominal monthly fee yet have access on a network in Roanoke or within Richmond or within Fredericksburg, etc at no additional cost. That’s where the “single sign-on SSID” (”VAWiFiCo”) comes in!
There’s something about offering a state-wide network for a small monthly fee and having the capability to access any one of our regional partners’ networks without paying extra nor reconfiguring your computer.
